Seth A. Lindner

Partner

Seth Lindner is a partner at Carter Arnett. He represents technology companies in a wide range of intellectual property matters. His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, post-grant reviews, and strategic counseling in high-technology cases. Mr. Lindner has represented clients in a variety of technology fields, including video compression technology (MPEG4, HEVC, ATSC), wireless communication (LTE, HSPA, WiMAX), autonomous vehicle navigation/mapping, power electronics, semiconductor design and manufacturing, flash and DRAM memory design, digital media, and others. He also helps clients develop patent portfolio strategies and advises clients on licensing issues, joint development agreements, and NDA’s.

Mr. Lindner is a registered patent attorney with the USPTO and has been involved in more than 30 inter partes review proceedings representing both petitioners and patent owners.

Mr. Lindner’s technical background is in electrical engineering, and he brings more than eight years of industry experience in semiconductor device design/fabrication, control systems, computer vision, and digital image processing. Mr. Lindner was the recipient of the Paul F. Anderson Fellowship in Electrical Engineering while pursuing his M.S. degree. His research included developing an autonomous vehicle navigation and mapping system using a novel machine learning technique.

Prior to joining Carter Arnett, Mr. Lindner practiced in the Intellectual Property group at Baker Botts LLP, where he was a member of the PTAB Trials team and the Privacy & Data Security task force. As a volunteer prosecutor for the City of Austin, Mr. Lindner has tried four criminal cases to jury verdicts and has a perfect success record.
